The Museo Ogliari Transport Museum is an amazing, if slightly quaint, collection of transport through the ages and transport enthusiasts will love it.
The museum is arranged chronologically starting with horse drawn carriages, steam and electric power, to the introduction of engines, cable cars and funicular railways, travelling on snow, bikes, motorbikes and cars, space travel and even its own underground station.
Apart from vehicles there is also a great collection of signals, signs and notices, postcards, ticket punchers, old photographs and much more!
The museum was founded just over 50 years ago by the lawyer and professor Francesco Ogliari (1931-2009) who has written over 300 books, many about transport and who was president of the Milan Museum of Science and Technology for years.
